Accessibility

This site should work for everyone.

The people who use this website are often the ones least served by websites: older adults, people recovering from injury or illness, people with low vision, hearing loss, or limited hand strength, and family members making urgent decisions. We want this site to be usable by all of them.

Our standard

We design and review this website against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 at Level AA. That is the recognized benchmark for accessible web content, and it is the standard referenced by disability law. A website is never truly "finished" when it comes to accessibility, so this is an ongoing commitment rather than a one time fix.

What we focus on

  • Text and background colors with enough contrast to read comfortably.
  • Forms where every field has a real label, so screen readers can announce what to enter.
  • Pages that can be used with a keyboard alone, without a mouse.
  • Descriptive text for images that carry meaning, and quiet decorative images.
  • A clear heading structure so screen reader users can jump between sections.
  • A "skip to content" link so keyboard users can pass the menu in one tab.
  • Text that can be enlarged in the browser without anything breaking or disappearing.

If something doesn't work

If you hit a barrier on this site, tell us and we will help you the same day if we can. You never need to use the website to reach us. We are glad to handle everything by phone, by email, in the mail, or in person.

When you write, tell us what you were trying to do and what happened. That is enough for us to fix it.

Alternative formats

If you would prefer our information in another format, such as larger printed text, a readable PDF, or a plain email summary, ask and we will send it. This includes tour details, pricing conversations, and application paperwork.

Content we do not control

Some pages may link to outside resources or documents that we do not own. We choose partners carefully, but we cannot guarantee their accessibility. If a third party page blocks you, let us know and we will get you the same information directly.
